Weekend Recap: Austin FC Game and Health Update

Saturday went great. Got a bunch done and attended the Austin FC game with friends. Sadly we lost 0-1, but it was a great time and I got the chili dog I’ve been craving plus a delicious empanada and a guava pastry. Weather was much better than the first game so no cold and damp.

Bonus: our seats give me a good leg extension stretch that I used 30 minutes of each half.

Sunday was not so good. When I woke I was really lethargic and not entirely aware. That worsened, with BP falling to 66/46, so we took another drive to Dell ER. Same drill as before; throw some saline in my veins and let me lie down. Got better enough that we went home around 5 pm.

That kind of put a damper on Sunday plans, but Monday morning I was right back in OT at 8:30 am. I also had a great phone call with my new writing accountability partner to talk about our goals and communication plans. Monday night, I went out with Erik to see Mickey 17. My brother, Hank, read me the book “Mickey 7” last year back when I could not move.

Tuesday, I did a blood draw, eye glasses visit, PT, OT, worked out with Sam, and worked on my book. Wednesday I had OT, ST, PT, and a writing webinar. Thursday, I had ST and a visit with my primary care physician for my annual physical – eliminated statin and blood pressure medications. I can almost do my evening meds in one swallow now.

Friday, we get a season ticket holders bene with a tour of Q2 stadium where Austin FC plays.
