Life seems to be normalizing now that I am back home. I have begun to catch up on a year of being gone. Some items get discarded, some are kind of important (e.g. some missed medical payments, my Texas ID since my license expired and I can not drive yet), some are back burner. My inbox is back down under 2000 and should get much better tomorrow. Started seeing a chiropractor for my back, neck, and left leg. Got a massage on Tuesday that did wonders.
Caught up my Scouts BSA youth protection training in hopes I can take back my role as Chartered Organization Representative for a Troop and two packs. Thank you Ram for filling in!
I am working on consolidating and normalizing some of our finance stuff. This includes some smaller forays into smalls caps, private equity and art, so that has been fun.
I have managed to bang my toes enough to get my left big toe infected, so another visit to my doc to get antibiotics. We also updated my blood pressure medication to reduce the dosage. I am now at 10 mg of Lisinopril daily. lLowest it’s been since I started nearly thirty years ago!
Today I spent a bunch of the day grinding through my task list and organizing. I am trying a system similar to David Allen’s Getting Things Done at LearnDoBecome. So far I like it. Another part of my day was working on my Zettelkasten -based organizing system using Scott Scheper as my guide.
I was even alone several times this week including a couple of hours today. It made me feel all grown up.
The picture is of of Matthew Wong’s The Sun, of which I own a tiny piece. It was recently on display at the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam.
