My Journey of Healing and Involvement in Local Initiatives

Life is becoming more interesting. In addition to therapy (occupational, physical, and speech/swallow currently), doctor appointments (neurologists, infectious disease, primary care, chiropractor, pulmonologist, cardiologist, ENT), a much needed investment update, studying the antinet zettelkasten, working on organizing my life using LearnDoBecome, organizing my study (thanks, William!), studying Buddhism, updating my Scouts training, and signing up to be Livestrong co-lead for Texas advocacy, today I attended a donor and stakeholder breakfast for the Hill Country Conservancy (HCC) at the Lady Bird Wildflower Center and learned about their accomplishments over the past year (phase 1 of Violet Crown Trail done!) and goals for the next year (some great mile zero Violet Crown builds, start of phase 2, and doubling to over 30,000 protected acres of Hill Country land!).

I am excited to be a Trailblazer supporter of HCC for many years now, except for when my credit card expired while I was in the hospital. I really want to point this out to Ann, Kelley, Kristen, and Barcay of Rehab Without Walls because I forget to keep them informed about just how much is going on in my life and I am getting out rather than just being a lump at home. There is good reason I am always tired.

Anyway, now that I have dumped all that, off for a short lie down (I am alone at home and just took a solo restroom break) before my exercises.

  1. I am amazed at how much energy you have, and all the pies you have a finger in. Very impressive! I struggle with all the layers of recovering from my various knee surgeries (including PT), train the new puppy, and play bridge in a couple of different venues. Then I just want to put ice on mt knees, veg, and sleep!

    You’re amazing!

If you find a really good short path into Zettlekeissen let me know. It intrigues me (I have and use Obsidian) but its hard to know where to start /go next. Need a guide to the guides!

    • I will not claim these strokes are the best thing that ever happened to me, but there definitely has been an upside.

I will get back to you on Zettlekeissen after I have tried for it. Scott Scheper, in his antinet book, argues for a pure analog sytem. I am trying that for a bit in conjunction with the LearnDoBecome stuff and the book I want to write.
